We had Emily Grace's leg appointment last week and as we were sitting in the waiting room Aleisha was talking to a lady with similar leg issues that has been through 21 surgeries and maybe going through #22. She said surgeries have been tough so thank the Lord if he is healing Emily's leg all on his own. Em had the x-ray done (you could hear her screaming the entire time from the waiting room!) and when Dr. Achterman met with us he had us come down to his office so we could see our pending results...drum roll please....the tibia is 100% fully healed!! The bone went from the shape of an "s" to a perfectly normal tibia bone!! He said she will always have the "abnormality" at the ankle but that is stemmed from all that has been wrong in the past! When he measured out the length it was only 1/2" shorter than her right so we now are only watching the length and can wait 2 whole years before we go back!! Again, surgery for the shortness would not happen until middles school. He said he does notice the slight "gate" to her walk and he also said the reason she says owie and points to it is probably related to muscle and ligament pain from the shortness! THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR HER!!
She also had her 2 year well check and she is 27 lbs and 33.5" long. Needless to say she looks great! Can you believe how fast time flys?! Her vocabulary increases by the day and she is getting more and more shy! Not at home of course! She loves to sing us the ABC song and gets to E before she repeats the same letters over again! She loves to play make believe and with play dough. Help in the kitchen, stock up diapers in Noah's room (or anything related to him!) and she even has her own "2 year old" version of a joke..."that's yellow"! She thinks she is hilarious when she does this! I found her on the couch yesterday patting her baby on the back saying "baby, I love you" and then kissed the top of its head!

Noah is getting bigger by the minute! And NO he has not lost his hair! We get asked this alot! He can now roll over from back to tummy, bat at toys and is even starting to hold onto toys! He has the greatest belly laughs and will just randomly do so which can brighten any ones bad day! He is always smiling and always mellow. The only time he cries is if something is really wrong! Noah still loves to stare at his big sissy and loves to play with her on his Einstein mat! We just love this little guy! No stat reports on him till next month BUT we know for a fact he is getting longer!

Paul got a new trainer for his bike from Aleisha and the kids for his birthday! Which very much excites him! He has been enjoying time with the kids and has even been getting some reading in! Work is crazy busy and he has been rooting hard for the Zags! He has even started to drag Aleisha's behind to spinning class at the Y!

Aleisha has been hard at work with the hair clips. There is now over 100 different designs available! She found out that they are "all the rage" at the Sherwood schools here in town which she was delighted about! Her goal before the family trip to Mexico is to lose 30 lbs (6 lbs a month) and she is already down 2!! She is doing Zumba with her friend Janice on Wednesday nights which is best described as a wannabe backup dancer for a Shakira Video! But so much fun! And then Saturday mornings Paul and Janice drag her behind to spinning class which she loathes entirely. She officially renamed the class to "assbegone"! She is hoping to get back into deep water aerobics soon.

As a family we are currently waiting for response on our application with the "adopt a soldier" program. They run a background check and make sure you are "fit" to be an "angel". We wanted to do something to give back this year and our hearts was drawn towards the men and women fighting for our country. If aproved we will have a soldier for their entire deployment and have to send a minimum of 1 letter a week and 1 care package a month. If anyone is interested in putting stuff in the care package, please let us know and we would love to include it!
